OHG......I remember that Cher cover of Vogue.......which utterly DATES ME. I remember I wanted eyelashes like that. ACK! Looking at magazines of a certain age is sort of painful---they have not achieved that classic vintage status yet and bring up far to many *bad-clothes-nightmares* from my previous closets. ;) I guess my era of dress that I love were the classics from the designers of the 50's, and some of the patterns put out then. I still snag them when they are in my size, and occasionally quit being lazy and sew one up!
Wow, does this bring back memories. I just loved Audrey Hepburn...she was one in a million. As for hairstyles, I was more in the Cher category...long hair and big earrings! Still wear the big earrings, but the long hair was went the way of menopause!! LOL
Wow, I love old magazines like this. Such treasure troves. Thise Cher eyes, wow!! I accomplished that once, could barely see through all of the mascara and those fake lashes. LOL
Photo from divasdeste cd!
Art has become for me "therapy". I can celebrate happy occasions or work through sad or difficult times by creating art. I love creating special art for others. I often use old family pictures in my pieces and feel good about giving them birth again. I love to laugh,am very sentimental, and cry more happy tears than sad ones. Loyality, honesty, and sharing good things with others is important to me. I enjoy seeing all the new art of artists friends and am learning something new every day!
Laughing makes better wrinkles on your face!
